Job Summary

Job Title: Call Center Representative

Salary: $20-30 per hour

Location: Madison, USA

Job Responsibilities

Plays information entry and affected person registration according to national and federal guidelines. Resolved 0.33 birthday party rejects and respond to high volume customer inquiries while working under direct supervision.

Operates pharmacy systems to gather patient and drug statistics and follows agency policies and procedures.

Uses Walgreens prescription records access techniques to register new affected persons, entering data into the system.

Handles affected person prescription requests within HIPAA, enters refill orders for processing, troubleshoots missing prescription data, and interprets scientific abbreviations (SIG codes).

Handles correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and makes outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.

Resolves 0.33 birthday party rejects by reviewing records, making corrections and resubmitting for processing according to personal plan requirements. Calls insurers and others to obtain information, override approval or clear up rejects.

Provides assistance to pharmacists at the facility and other locations, and communicates issues to senior staff as appropriate.

Must achieve and maintain an active technician license or certification within the first ninety days.

Primary Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., operating a PC, using mouse, opening and closing programs, saving documents, printing files, accessing online statistics).
• Proficiency with search engines (starting a browser, entering URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a domain, navigating with back/forward buttons, completing online forms).
• Keyboarding skills at least 25 WPM, touch typing, file formatting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Favored Qualifications

• At least 365 days of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
• Minimum 18 months experience as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration issued by a state or nationally recognized certification organization.
• Experience providing customer support to internal and external customers while meeting quality service standards.
• Keyboarding skills at least 35 WPM with touch typing and document formatting.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
