Job summary

Columbus State Community College (CSCC) is seeking an Adjunct for Architecture to provide quality instruction and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. You will design curriculum, monitor teaching effectiveness, assess student performance, and communicate progress while using appropriate technology and maintaining accurate records.

This part-time position requires strong organization, the ability to engage large groups, and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the discipline or equivalent, and a professional degree in a design-related field is desired.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
• An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses as scheduled and assumes primary responsibility for the curriculum in conjunction with department policies.
• Designs curriculum embracing diversity to foster talent and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Uses technology to aid learning and keeps accurate records per department policies.
• Maintains attendance and grade records, communicates progress, and distributes syllabi.
• Engages in meetings with department leadership for teaching duties and professional development.
