Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an Online Adjunct Faculty to teach courses entirely online in eight-week terms, with occasional 16-week formats. The role requires delivering instruction, utilizing technology, and adapting materials to support student goals in a compliant online environment.

Responsibilities include engaging with students, maintaining records, and applying best practices to foster successful learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Unofficial transcripts required as part of the application process.
• Official transcripts required upon hiring.
• Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
• A qualified faculty member in Legal Studies possesses an earned Juris Doctor degree from a regionally accredited institution and have one of the following:
• Professional licensure in the field; or
• Two years of directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
• Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning.
• Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines and expectations.
• Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
