Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College invites qualified candidates for Online Adjunct Faculty to join our team and teach in an online format. Courses are delivered online in primarily 8-week sessions, with occasional 16-week formats, ensuring flexibility for students pursuing goals.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of instructional technologies,Prepared to review and adapt lesson plans, and maintain accurate student records. A JD and licensure or relevant experience in Legal Studies are preferred.

Qualifications

• Unofficial transcripts required as part of the application process.
• Official transcripts required upon hiring.
• Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
• A qualified faculty member in Legal Studies possesses an earned Juris Doctor degree from a regionally accredited institution and have one of the following: professional licensure in the field; or two years of directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes online in alignment with College policies and course objectives.
• Utilize technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Supplement and modify lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintain accurate records.
• Engage with students regularly in meaningful ways to support learning and positive experiences.
• Demonstrate teaching strategies focused on engaging online students.
• Interact with students and coworkers professionally and in accordance with College policies.
• Maintain a safe, high-quality online educational environment.
• Support a workplace culture that values varied perspectives and open communication.
