Job summary

Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University seeks a Part-Time Academic Coach for Act 101 Students to provide online academic coaching, focusing on study skills, time management, and reading strategies. You will also develop online workshops and maintain weekly case documentation.

The role supports students in navigating financial aid, registration, and other university systems, and promotes a collaborative team environment with a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, student affairs, counseling or related field and minimum of one year’s experience in academic support, counseling or advising in higher education preferred.
• Proven written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and organization and attention to detail required.
• Demonstrated student service orientation; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
• One–two years of Brightspace experience preferred; Zoom and online education experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide online academic coaching to Act 101 program students, focusing on study skills, time/self-management, and test-taking.
• Develop and present online workshops on study skills, time management, and navigating university systems.
