Job summary

EASTERN UNIVERSITY is seeking a Part-Time Academic Coach for Act 101 Students to provide online coaching on study skills, time management, and reading strategies. The role supports students through workshops and individualized plans, reporting weekly to the Assistant Director of Coaching and Opportunity Programs.

The position emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and student-centered care. The role requires a Master’s degree in education or related field and experience in higher education

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, student affairs, counseling or related field.
• One year of academicsupport, counseling, and/or advising in higher ed preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide online academic coaching to Act 101 students focusing on study skills and time management.
• Develop and present online workshops on study skills and navigating the system.
• Maintain case documentation and weekly contact reports for the Assistant Director.
• Help students navigate financial aid and registration systems.
• Support at-risk students in creating individualized improvement plans.
• Maintain web-based training competencies and attend seminars.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with other duties.
