Job summary

Herzing University seeks a part-time Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help design an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and to pursue ABAI accreditation. The SME provides guidance on accreditation timelines and requirements, reviews curriculum for ABAI standards, and supports program communications.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or ABA.
• Current BCBA certification with BCBA-D designation.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with ABAI accreditation process as program director, faculty, or reviewer.
• Curriculum and course sequencing, assessment and accreditation experience.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation timeline. Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and required hiring needs.
• Standards crosswalk. Review the proposed curriculum and map it to ABAI standards with a gap analysis.
• Certification and licensure alignment. Document how curriculum aligns to BACB and licensure requirements.
• Program communication. Draft internal materials and review external materials.
• Meetings. Attend scheduled project meetings with the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and the Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Deliverables. Submit deliverables on contract schedule and program structure.
• Confidentiality and AI use. Protect confidential information; follow AI governance policy.
• Contract. Adhere to SME contract and any additional duties.
