Job summary

PASCO in Denver, CO is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support an individual experiencing periods of significant mental-health distress. You will provide calm supervision, help maintain routines, keep a safe environment, use de-escalation strategies, and coordinate with family and care providers.

You may assist with daily activities, meals, mobility, transportation to appointments, light cleaning, and monitoring wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience with mental-health needs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving roles.
• Comfort with mobility assistance and health routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to the client.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and exercise.
• Prepare meals, ensure hydration, and support health routines.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable caregiver to support an individual (located in Denver, CO) who experiences periods of significant mental-health distress. Responsibilities include providing calm, consistent supervision; helping maintain routines and a safe environment; using de-escalation and coping strategies; and supporting communication with family and care providers.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting people with complex mental-health needs, remains composed in high-stress situations, respects privacy and dignity, and is comfortable coordinating with mental-health professionals when needed.

What a PASCO Caregiver Might Do

• Brighten someone’s day with genuine companionship and support

• Help with everyday activities: bathing, dressing, mobility, and exercise

• Prepare meals, encourage hydration, and support health routines

• Drive clients to appointments, errands, and outings (if needed)

• Keep homes organized and welcoming with light cleaning and laundry

• Monitor well-being, follow care plans, and keep everyone informed

• Provide a caring break for family members with respite care

Who We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current insurance (for driving roles)

• Experience is a plus, but what matters most is your passion for helping others

• Home Health experience highly preferred but not required

• Compassion and empathy for all PASCO clients

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Patience, understanding, and the ability to provide emotional support.

• Physical stamina and the ability to assist with mobility

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable

• Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not mandatory

• Reliable transportation, valid driver's licenseand current auto insurance

Compensation: $17 - $23/hour depending on client and services provided through Medicaid Waivers
