Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly is seeking a part-time One to One Observer to provide constant one-to-one patient observation in a hospital setting. The role requires strong communication with the healthcare team and the patient’s family, while maintaining the highest ethical standards of care.

The position involves restraining patients when needed, communicating patient status changes to the RN, and assisting in orientation of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient's status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
