Job summary

Mattahunt Elementary School in Boston is seeking a One-to-One Paraprofessional to provide individualized support to students with disabilities. Under teacher supervision, you will assist with daily instruction, behavior plans, and collaboration with staff.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 48 college credits or an Associate’s degree, and familiarity with ABA. Candidates should be flexible and able to work with diverse families and school teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED or an Associate’s degree alternative.
  • Forty-eight (48) credit hours or an Associate’s degree, or a passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
  • Experience with students with disabilities and with communicating to families/admins.
  • Able to adapt to student and parent needs and work in a school setting.
  • ABA training or experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct one-to-one instructional support to the assigned student.
  • Assist with daily classroom activities, notes, and ABA-based behavior strategies.
  • Support with transitions, toileting, hygiene, lifting, and transfers as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers on lesson plans and behavior plans.
  • Communicate with parents and school staff to support student progress.
