Job summary

Boston Public Schools Quincy Elementary in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a One-to-One Paraprofessional to support an individual student under the supervision of the teacher. You will participate in daily instruction and activities to meet the student’s needs.

Duties include assisting with small-group instruction, hygiene and transfers, using communication supports such as ASL or PECS, and following behavior management and de-escalation strategies.

Qualifications

• ABA training and experience with behavior supports.
• Ability to assist with small-group instruction and student care.
• Strong communication with parents/guardians and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to individual students and participate in daily instruction.
• Assist with toileting, transfers, hygiene and related care.
• Support language systems (ASL, Picture Exchange, SEE) and use communication boards.
• Collaborate with classroom teacher and maintain open communications with staff and parents.
