Job summary

Bernards Township Public Schools seeks a caring One-to-One School Aide to support an elementary student at Cedar Hill Elementary School. The role is a full-time, school-year position with 7 hours per day while school is in session and compensation at $23.87 per hour.

The aide will follow student plans, assist with personal care, and ensure confidentiality and safety throughout the day, collaborating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Substitute certificate required.
• Experience with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Willingness to provide toileting and personal care.
• Maintain student confidentiality and privacy.
• Meet New Jersey employment requirements including background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to an elementary school student throughout the school day.
• Assist the student with safe travel to and from designated bathrooms.
• Provide personal care assistance while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Support the student in transitioning back to the classroom.
• Follow established student plans, health and safety procedures, and staff directives.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding the student and educational needs.
• Perform other duties related to the student's support and supervision as assigned.
