Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as required by the position.
• Ability to assist with instructional activities and to communicate effectively with students and school staff.
• Knowledge of diverse needs of children with disabilities and appropriate special education classroom practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individualized instruction and work with small groups under teacher supervision.
• Deliver instructional materials and activities to students or groups.
• Supervise students during field trips and events.
• Support recess, lunchroom, and playground supervision.
• Promote language development and peer interaction.
• Maintain safe and positive learning environments in various settings.
