Maxim Healthcare in California is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. This role focuses on one-to-one behavior intervention, data collection, and support for daily living activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in education or healthcare and at least one year working with individuals with special needs. Must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience with individuals who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Provide/assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
