Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in San Jose–Peninsula, CA is hiring for a Behavioral Support Aide to assist individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. This role involves one-to-one intervention, daily activities support, and data collection under a Behavior Support Plan.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with experience in education or healthcare preferred and at least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors desired.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, meals, dressing, ambulation.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals per Behavioral Support Plan.
