Responsibilities

• Counsel, solve problems, and provide excellent customer service to prospective and current students and families regarding undergraduate admissions, registration, financial aid & scholarships via counter, call center, and email.
• Create presentations on and off campus for outreach as needed.
• Refer students to appropriate home offices or other campus offices as needed.
• Use professional judgment to assist with escalated student/parent issues, admissions denials, financial aid eligibility, or extenuating circumstances.
• Process transcripts, financial aid & scholarship paperwork, register/withdraw students, generate and distribute transcripts and verification letters, and handle related enrollment services paperwork.
• Assist home offices with processing as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of university information, policies, and opportunities.
• Stay updated on enrollment services processes including federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The One Stop Counselor is responsible fordecision-making that requires initiative and judgment in respondingto individual needs of students and families rotating between thecounter(s), call center, and emails. This position also helps tomentor less experienced one-stop enrollment counselors. Inaddition, this position provides service to students and theirfamilies via the One-Stop Enrollment Center, providing informationon financial aid & scholarships undergraduate admissions, andregistrar.

Core Responsibilities

1. Responsible for counseling, problem-solving, and providingexcellent customer service and accurate information to prospectiveand current students and their families regarding undergraduateadmissions policies, registration, financial aid & scholarshipsvia multiple venues including counter, call center, and email.
2. Creates presentations on and off campus (outreach/in reach) togroups as needed.
3. Responsible for referring students to appropriate home officesor other offices on campus as needed.
4. Uses professional judgment to assist with solving problems andworking with escalated student and/or parent issues, admissionsdenials, financial aid eligibility, or extenuatingcircumstances.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will work primarily on the Downtowncampus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee'sresponsibility.
