Anchor Bay School District is seeking a One-on-One Special Education Paraprofessional for Dean A. Naldrett Elementary School in Chesterfield, Michigan.

The role supports the classroom teacher by reinforcing materials, developing targeted strategies, supervising activities, and helping maintain a safe, orderly learning environment. A Bachelor's or Associate degree is required (or Work Keys/ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with a passing score).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
• For post-June 1, 2017 hires, must have ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with a passing score.

Responsibilities

• Work with students to reinforce learning of materials and skills.
• Meet and assist the teacher in developing and devising special strategies for reinforcing materials or skills based on understanding of individual student needs.
• Carry out classroom instructional support and activities as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment which is conducive to student learning and achievement.
• Perform other duties consistent with the job goal of student safety and learning.
• Alert the classroom teacher or administrator to any problem, or special information about an individual student(s).
