Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Paraprofessional - One-on-One Classification 130 at Simonds Elementary to assist teachers by supporting instructional activities and supervising students with disabilities. Under the direction of the teacher, you will conduct training activities with small groups at various sites, including the library, cafeteria, and community-based settings.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus advanced training in an approved program and experience with students

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced training in a district-approved special education instructional aide program.
• Experience with students with emotional impairments, autism, cognitive or physical disabilities.
• Willingness to conduct physical management and care procedures with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, implementation and record-keeping of instructional activities.
• Conduct training activities with small groups at various sites (library, cafeteria, hallways, etc.).
• Provide instructional assistance under supervision of teachers and staff.
• Supervise and monitor medical needs and implement procedures as assigned.
• Implement behavior plans and participate in data collection related to progress.
