Job summary

Marshall Public Schools in Michigan is seeking a special education LRE paraprofessional to provide one-to-one instructional support to students with special needs. Under supervision of the principal, you will assist with supervision and targeted academic assistance during the school day.

Requirements include an associate's degree or 60+ college credits, or a high school diploma with Paraprofessional ETS; CPI certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 60+ college credits or a high school diploma with Paraprofessional ETS Assessment
• CPI certification is preferred but not required
• Ability to work well with children and adults; calm and patient demeanor

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of student
• Provide academic, one-to-one support for student
• Provide individual and small group instruction when applicable
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity with student and program
• Follow medical protocols and address medical needs as directed
• Provide non-instructional health and behavior support per IEP
• Adhere to district health and safety procedures
• Model district values and foster inclusive environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by principal or teacher
