Job summary

Antioch School District 34 is seeking a part-time, one-on-one paraprofessional to support a student with special needs at Hillcrest Elementary School. You will assist under the guidance of the classroom teacher, implement behavior plans, supervise students during academic and nonacademic activities, and help with daily transitions and accommodations.

• Ability to model and coach behavior management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior support plans and collect data as directed by the student's team.
• Provide active supervision in academic and nonacademic settings.
• Assist with daily schedule, transitions, sensory breaks, and rewards/motivators.
• Enforce school-wide behavioral expectations using PBIS, TBRI, or Pyramid Model.
• Support instruction by implementing materials, reinforcing lessons, and assisting with tests/assignments under teacher direction.
• Assist with personal care needs as described, and escort/supervise the student across settings.
• Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher and case manager on student progress.
