Job summary

United Schools of Indianapolis (USI) is seeking an exceptions one on one Special Education Aid to work directly with select students with significant needs including Autism. The role involves collaboration with Special Education Teachers, families and our Culture Team to ensure students receive both academic and social-emotional support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associates Degree.
• Experience supporting Autistic children.
• Strong knowledge of child development.
• Instructional and behavioral management skills for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Special Education Aid works within collaborative teams.
• Teams meet regularly to analyze student data, refine instruction, share resources, and plan targeted interventions.
• Instruction is rigorous, engaging, and focused on mastery of specific academic skills.
• Partner closely with Special Education Teachers, families and the Culture Team to support students academically and socially.
