Job summary

Westgate Elementary seeks a paraeducator to support reading instruction in a small-group setting under certificated staff supervision. Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree OR 72 quarter credits OR 48 semester credits OR a passing score on an approved assessment.
• Must attach unofficial transcript; official transcripts required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
• Must pass a basic skills test.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist reading instruction in small-group/room settings under supervision.
• Administer reading assessments and maintain records.
• Provide supervision during recess and lunch.
• Prepare instructional materials and adapt as needed.
