Salary: $23.15 - $26.65

JOB DESCRIPTION


The paraeducator in this position will give reading instruction to students in a small group intervention room and classroom.They will be responsible for carrying through prescribed instructional programs under the direct supervision and training of certificated staff using specific reading intervention curriculum. Other duties include adapting and making materials appropriate to instructional needs, maintaining accurate records, administering and scoring reading assessments, recess supervision, lunchroom supervision, and performing other paraeducator duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Conditions of Employment
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have an AA degree OR 72 quarter college credits OR 48 semester college credits OR a passing score on one of the assessments approved by the Professional Educator Standards Board.
  • Mustattach unofficial transcriptproving AA or equivalentto application.Official transcripts of all levels of education, including high school, required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to meet the Physical Demands of the position.
  • Must pass a basic skills test.
  • Completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training within 30 days of hire and yearly thereafter.
  • Must pass a background check, which includes employee paid fingerprinting.
