Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental challenges. Competitive pay, weekly paychecks, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities include helping clients improve social and communication skills, documenting progress, and implementing behavior plans under BCBA supervision. Requires evening/morning shifts and 18+ years old with ABA training and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and adults with special needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of 40-hour and ABA Training. Training provided, must be completed prior to providing service.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Current PPD or Chest X Ray.
• Ability to effectively elicit/ provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients).
• Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
