Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with individualized education plans. You will provide customized behavior support, assist with life skills, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic guidance.

In this role, you will collaborate with educators, implement PBIS strategies, collect data on progress, and communicate with families to reinforce learning and behavior goals in a inclusive classroom setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals with accommodations as needed.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior plans and track data on behaviors, progress, and incidents.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis-management when necessary to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and support social-behavioral skill development.
• Supervise students during transit between locations and in class.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as required by student needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
