Job summary

NWOOC Oncology in Maumee is seeking a Registered Nurse for triage and oncology call center duties. This full-time role focuses on coordinating patient care, educating patients, and supporting clinicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include triaging clinical calls, updating patient records, and collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure timely access to care. Oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Ohio RN license required.
• 2+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
• Working knowledge of Clinical IT applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the outpatient oncology setting and triage of clinical calls.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and staff; liaise between patients, staff and physicians.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, nutrition and health maintenance.
• Maintain/review patient records and lab/x-ray results; process prescriptions as ordered.
• Assist with referrals, insurance processing, and care coordination.
