Job summary

Toledo Clinic’s Maumee campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for triage and oncology call center, Monday–Friday 8:00–4:30. This role delivers professional nursing care in the outpatient oncology setting and serves as the primary liaison among patients, staff and physicians.

You will handle clinical phone triage, educate patients on procedures and medications, coordinate care with providers and navigators, review tests, and support discharge planning and resource referrals.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• 2+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Ohio RN license required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to excel in an environment of constant change and urgency.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the outpatient oncology setting.
• Assist physicians and staff in coordinating patient care; act as liaison between patients, staff and physicians.
• Triage clinical phone calls and manage patient education on procedures, medications, nutrition, and self-care.
• Coordinate referrals and resources with care navigators to meet patient needs.
• Review lab/x-ray results, maintain patient records, and support discharge planning and care coordination.
