Job summary
Illinois CancerCare in Pekin, IL is seeking a full-time Treatment Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated oncology team. You will administer chemotherapy and related therapies, perform port flushes, dressing changes, injections, and catheterizations, while assessing patient well-being in clinic and by phone.
You will support physicians, prepare treatment schedules, and maintain a safe, organized care environment. Applicants should hold an Illinois RN license with at least 1 year of clinical nursing
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license and current registration.
- BSN preferred for the role.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated passion for oncology and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy with precision and safety.
- Perform clinical procedures (port flushes, dressings, injections, catheterizations).
- Assess patients in person and by phone for side effects and emergencies.
- Support physicians with diagnostic procedures and nursing assessments.
- Prepare daily treatment schedules and teaching materials.
