Job summary

Illinois CancerCare is seeking a Part Time Treatment Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate and collaborative team. You will administer chemotherapy, provide patient-centered care, and support physicians in a fast-paced oncology clinic.

The role includes travel to satellite clinics 1-2 days per week and staying compliant with HIPAA and safety standards. Qualifications include an Illinois RN license (BSN preferred) and 1+ year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

Current Illinois RN license required.
BSN preferred.
1+ year of clinical nursing experience.
Passion for oncology nursing and patient-centered care.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments with safety protocols.
Perform port flushes, dressing changes, injections, and catheterizations.
Assess patients in person and by phone for side effects and overall well-being.
Support physicians with diagnostic procedures and nursing assessments.
Prepare daily treatment schedules and teaching materials for clinic use.
Maintain a clean, organized treatment environment and delegate tasks as needed.
Respond to emergencies and operate clinical equipment as required.
Triages patient calls and collaborates with team nurses for timely support.
Travel to satellite clinics 1-2 days per week to extend care across the network.
