Job summary

Illinois CancerCare is seeking a dedicated Treatment Nurse (RN) to join our oncology-focused team. This full-time role emphasizes delivering safe, compassionate care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and related therapies.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, manage treatment schedules, and ensure readiness of resources while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. A path toward OCN certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• 1+ year of clinical nursing experience.
• Passion for oncology nursing and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments with safety.
• Perform port flushes, dressing changes, injections, and catheterizations.
• Assess patients in person and by phone for side effects and well-being.
• Support physicians with diagnostic procedures and nursing assessments.
• Prepare daily treatment schedules and teaching materials.
