Brown University Health seeks an Oncology and Sterile Compounding Technician Specialist to support oncology and infusion medications at Rhode Island Hospital, under supervision by an Oncology Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician Supervisor. You will ensure sterile and non-sterile compounding adheres to USP 797/800, NIOSH, and Brown policies, with strict documentation and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of college preferred.
• Current Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II license.
• Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).

Responsabilités

• Ensures sterile compounding environment and equipment are cleaned and maintained per SOPs.
• Performs sterile compounding of oncology medications per USP 797/800 and NIOSH.
• Performs non-sterile compounding per USP 795/800 and NIOSH.
• Documents compounded medications accurately per policy and procedures.
• Operates ancillary compounding equipment (e.g., pumps) and calibrates as needed.
• Collaborates with oncology team to procure medications and supplies in a timely manner.
• Manages inventory, including receiving, stocking, expiration checks, and disposal per policy.
• Transfers medications to off-site locations as needed.
• Participates in orientation and training of technicians and interns.
