Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a Specialty Retail Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and management of specialty medications with a focus on oncology. You will work closely with pharmacists, clinics, insurers, and patients to ensure timely access while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires attention to patient safety, accurate order processing, and high-quality customer service in a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm schedule, at our Michigan location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; some college preferred.
• Michigan Pharmacy Technician Licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process physician orders in QS-1NRX; include specialty/oncology meds.
• Review patient profiles for allergies, duplications, and interactions for pharmacist review.
• Coordinate oncology specialty meds, including oral oncolytics and limited distribution drugs.
• Communicate with oncology clinics, infusion centers, and provider offices for prescriptions/clarifications.
• Maintain detailed, compliant documentation for prescriptions, payer requirements, and patient communications.
• Provide high-touch customer service to patients and caregivers, including refill education.
