Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist-Oncology for a full-time day shift in Chicago. This role focuses on identification and resolution of medication problems, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care within a comprehensive pharmacy team.

You will transfer prescriptions, perform audits, supervise staff, and participate in training. A PharmD or B.Pharm with an active IL license is required, with preferred oncology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
• Active Clinical Pharmacist license in the state of Illinois (IDFPR).
• Preferred: training in specialty areas (neonatology, critical care, oncology) and residency or equivalent hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related problems.
• Provide authoritative information to health care professionals and patients.
• Transfer prescriptions with proper documentation and perform final audit on prescriptions.
• Supervise technicians and ancillary staff; train pharmacy personnel.
• Document information in EMR and Therapy Management System; maintain formulary and conduct REMS-related tasks.
