Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Oncology Social Worker to support patients and families through cancer care. You will conduct distress screenings, develop psychosocial treatment plans, provide individual and family counseling, and coordinate community resources to optimize care.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work, an LCSW license, and 3+ years in oncology/hematology/palliative care social work; OSW-C is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work required.
• LCSW licensure required.
• OSW-C certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct oncology distress screenings and psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with patients and caregivers.
• Provide individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, and support groups.
• Assess understanding of diagnosis and treatment needs and facilitate adherence.
• Refer to mental health services as needed and coordinate resources.
• Document interventions and contribute to department metrics.
