Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to provide comprehensive psychosocial care within the cancer care team. You will assess, counsel, advocate and coordinate services to support patients and families, guiding care plans and referrals as needed.

The role requires an MSW from a CSWE accredited program and FL LCSW licensure (or eligible) with at least two years post-MS W experience; oncology background preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE approved school.
• Florida LCSW or out-of-state LCSW and obtain FL LCSW within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years post MSW experience in social work required.
• Prefer minimum of 1 year in oncology social work.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services to patients, families and others.
• Conduct social work assessments, counseling, goal setting, advocacy and care planning.
• Make referrals and coordinate continuity of care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Mentor staff and provide supervision as needed.
