Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide psychotherapy and counseling to cancer patients and families. This role requires collaboration with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and seamless treatment planning.

The ideal candidate holds an MSW or LMHC with current Florida licensure and BLS. You will support patients across diverse backgrounds, documenting progress and outcomes in a timely manner in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC).
• Current, valid Florida LCSW or LMHC license.
• BLS certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to patients facing cancer-related emotional and psychosocial challenges.
• Collaborate with primary care, psychiatry and care team to ensure coordinated care and treatment continuity.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and access to resources; facilitate referrals to community sources and support services as needed.
• Document in a timely and thorough manner.
