Job summary

MultiCare Cancer Institute, a physician-led, multispecialty group within MultiCare Health System, seeks a Social Worker Oncology Specialist to coordinate care and deliver psychosocial support across the cancer continuum. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes in Washington state.

The role requires a Master's in Social Work and licensure in Washington (LICSW/LASW or equivalent) with preferred oncology certification and 5+ years of oncology experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• Licensed in Washington as LICSW or LASW or equivalent; or commitment to obtain within 30 days and LICSW/LASW within 3 years.
• Oncology Social Work Certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of recent oncology care and/or relevant outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for oncology patients across the continuum of care.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, peers, and community colleagues to improve patient care and services.
