Insight Global is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist for a large pharmaceutical client in Spring House, PA. The role focuses on oncology discovery, advancing plasma cell malignancy programs from target validation to preclinical assays.

The candidate will perform cell-based assays, analyze complex data, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment, onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

Job description

Our large pharmaceutical client in Spring House, PA is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join their growing team within the Oncology Discovery organization. This individual will be joining the drug discovery program to develop cutting-edge therapeutics for the treatment of plasma cell malignancies and will work in an exciting/stimulating environment across the different stages of preclinical drug discovery. Responsibilities will include:

• Design & perform experiments including target validation and assay development for advancement of programs in the portfolio.
• Execute multiple cell biology assays that could include flow cytometry, cell proliferation, cellular cytotoxicity, immune cell isolation from whole blood, capillary protein electrophoresis, cell culture, transfection/infection.
• Utilize graphing software such as GraphPad Prism and interpret complex data, rework experiments based on interpretations, and propose next steps.
• Work in an extremely collaborative environment and demonstrate organization and urgency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in Spring House, PA for a multi-year W2 contract assignment (12 months to start, likely extensions or permanent conversion) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or a relative field of study required. Team is not considering PhD-level at this time.
• 3-5+ years of experience working within industry, specifically (not academia) required.
• 3+ years of experience developing and performing cell-based assays including flow-based cell cytotoxicity, lentiviral/transfection required.
• 3+ years of experience with human whole blood and/or bone marrow samples required.
• Strong experience with the entire MS Office Suite and GraphPad Prism required.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Master's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or a relative field of study is highly preferred. Team is not considering PhD-level at this time.
• Prior Oncology or Immunology experience is highly preferred.
• CAR-T and large molecule experience preferred.
• Immune cell profiling experience preferred.
• Incucyt experience preferred.
• Experience with T-cell killing assays preferred.

Compensation

$70,000 - $90,000 annually. Paid on hourly basis; guaranteed 40 hours per week. Intended to be a multi-year W2 contract; opportunity for permanent conversion and/or extensions year over year. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
