Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler to join the Texas Oncology Kerrville clinic. This full-time role involves coordinating patient appointments, tests, and referrals, while serving as a liaison between patients and clinical staff.

You will manage scheduling templates, assist with pre-certification, and collect copays, ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to clinic policies. Experience in a medical office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry level role with 0–3 years in a medical office preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate personnel.
• Schedule patients, referrals and tests in the EMR per physician guidelines.
• Enter insurance authorizations and referrals in patient charts/EMR.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles and other payments at the time of visit.
• Maintain scheduling templates and coordinate pre-certification as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and support front office operations.
