Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Oncology Unit at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. This day-shift, full-time role emphasizes comprehensive nursing care, patient advocacy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based treatments.

The ideal candidate holds an NJ RN license, BLS, and oncology experience; a BSN is preferred. EPIC EMR proficiency and ongoing professional development are encouraged.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Bachelor's degree in nursing strongly preferred.
Prior patient care experience and comfort with EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and advocate for patients.
Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity of care.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and promote teamwork.
