Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology unit at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, PA. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult oncology patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support treatment journeys.

Qualifications

Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) is required.
CPR certification is required.
Certification in area of specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patient conditions and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care or health services.
Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in department-specific quality initiatives.
Utilize the nursing process to develop patient care plans as prescribed.
Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
Promote compassionate communication that is patient and family-centered.
