Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification preferred within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice on the Medical/Surgical Oncology unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
