UNC Health's Rex Oncology unit in Raleigh seeks a Clinical Nurse to provide competent care on the 5 East Acute Care Oncology unit. Role involves coordinating patient care, education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in a 36-hour work week setting.

Requirements include NC RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year nursing experience. Educational advancement in nursing is encouraged with BSN/MSN timelines.

Formación

• Licensed RN in North Carolina.
• Eligible to enroll within 4 years of employment and obtain BSN or MSN within 7 years.

Responsabilidades

• Education - identify learning needs, attend programs, assess readiness and tailor materials.
• Evaluation of Care - help define outcomes, revise plans, and communicate with the interdisciplary team.
• Implementation - deliver competent care for complex patients, perform bedside tests, follow policies.
• Leadership - assist in setting goals, promote collaboration, support unit goals and cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - synthesize data to determine care priorities and plan discharge needs.
• Planning - coordinate with family, use multidisciplinary resources, and address cultural needs.
• Research - review journals and bring applicable ideas to the team.
