Job summary

ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the 6E Oncology Unit on a full-time day shift. The role includes 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm) or a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday requirements per department guidelines.

The nurse will provide relationship-based care to oncology patients, administer chemotherapy, and manage symptoms such as febrile neutropenia and pain.

Qualifications

• DE RN License or a Compact RN License.
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit within a hospital setting is required.
• BLS required
• Oncology certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology patient care focusing on relationship-based care with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage cancer-related symptoms as per protocol.
• Support 24/7 inpatient care on Unit 6E and coordinate with other hospital teams.
