Job summary

ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking an RN to join the 6E Oncology Unit, a 38-bed inpatient hematology/oncology unit providing 24/7 care. The RN will deliver relationship-based care, administer chemotherapy, and manage symptoms in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds a DE RN or Compact license, with BSN preferred within three years, and 1–2 years of Medical-Surgical experience; BLS is required and oncology certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• DE RN License or a Compact RN License.
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical unit within a hospital setting is required.
• BLS required
• Oncology certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship-based care to oncology patients and families.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage symptoms such as febrile neutropenia, pain, nausea and vomiting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care in a 38-bed unit.
