Qualifications

• DE RN license or Compact RN license is required.

• BLS required.
• Oncology certification preferred.

Responsabilités

Registered Nurse (RN) - OncologyPT Night Shift - 24 Hours Weekly (Hours: 12-hour Shift 7am-7pm) or (a combination of 8- & 12-Hour Shifts depending on the department's needs) - Weekend and holiday requirements per departmental guidelines. Newark, DEChristianaCare Hospital, located in Newark, DE, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 6E Oncology Unit. As an oncology nurse, you will implement a relationship-based care model that focuses on building strong connections with patients, families, and colleagues. This approach is guided by our core values of love and excellence.

Unit 6E is a 38-bed inpatient unit specializing in hematology and oncology. It provides both scheduled and emergency care and procedures 24/7. This unit is designed to accommodate patients who require inpatient care for their diagnoses or for managing symptoms related to their treatments.

The services provided on 6E include various treatments such as cancer diagnoses, chemotherapy administration, and medical management of conditions like febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, and nausea/vomiting. The patient population in this unit consists of both adult and geriatric patients, with conditions classified as either stable or serious. Patients are received, transferred, or admitted from a variety of sources, including their homes, the emergency department, physicians' offices, and other units within the hospital.

The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.

Education and experience requirements:

• DE RN License or a Compact RN License.
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit within a hospital setting is required.
• BLS required
• Oncology certification preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
