Job summary

Tufts Medicine's Oncology - Main Campus is seeking an experienced RN to join the Community RN Career Direct Care Pathway. The role emphasizes professional nursing care aligned with physician orders, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care as part of a designated group.

The program features four levels (I–IV) based on RN experience, with hours from 3 PM to 11 PM, including evenings and weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience level varies byPathway Level I–IV based on RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients and families per physician orders.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the designated unit.
• Document care and maintain accurate patient records.
• Manage patient assignments and delegate tasks per team needs.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge planning.
• Support unit staff through precepting and mentoring as needed.
