Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MMH 7 Unit to deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with hospital guidelines, the nursing practice model, and ANA ethics.

The ideal candidate will have BSN (or ASN with relevant experience), at least 1 year of inpatient Medical-Surgical experience, and a current Florida RN license. This contract or time-limited position is 13 weeks minimum, with compensation of $65.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year inpatient hospital experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• BSN preferred; ASN with relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong customer service and patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on nursing professional standards and regulatory requirements.
