Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Oncology 6 RP Unit. The role includes nursing care, chemo administration, and patient support on a 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. schedule with every-other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. BSN preferred; new graduates welcome to apply through Sentara’s Transition to Practice program.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BSN degree preferred; ASN acceptable if eligible
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Oncology-specific certification or credential preferred within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care on the Oncology 6 RP Unit.
• Administer medications and deliver chemotherapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and support complex care needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care teams.
