Job summary

Tennessee Oncology seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide patient care throughout treatment, coordinating with the care team to ensure data accuracy and optimal symptom management. You will perform triage, assist with procedures, and support patients from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

The role requires active TN RN licensure, at least one year of experience, and oncology certification is strongly encouraged within two years.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Knowledge of oncology practices and treatments.
• Knowledge of current developments in cancer diagnosis and therapy.
• Ability to empathize with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs direct patient care, collaborating with other care providers.
• Verifies patient data prior to and during each visit.
• Assesses/treats symptoms in collaboration with physician for disease and therapy.
• Performs telephone triage to assess patient concerns and needs.
• Administers chemotherapy and other drugs per standards after training.
